Birmingham Edgewood

Description:

Eminent Excavating completed a major underground utility and roadway reconstruction project along Edgewood Road, between Lincoln Avenue and E. Southlawn Boulevard, for the City of Birmingham. The work included installation of new combined sewers, storm sewers, water main, underdrains, and associated water and sanitary services, followed by full roadway restoration and upgraded pedestrian infrastructure. Project highlights included approximately 1,100 linear feet of combined sewer, 560 linear feet of storm sewer, and 280 linear feet of water main. Surface improvements consisted of roughly 5,000 square yards of new pavement constructed with concrete and asphalt, 300 square yards of new concrete driveway approaches, and 2,685 square feet of new sidewalk, including ADA-compliant ramps.
